Achillea, Yarrow 'Parkers Gold' Heirloom
- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun
- Bloom Time
- Early Summer
Description
This tall, commanding plant is covered with dusty-yellow heads on top of olive-green foliage, producing 20 to 30 large flower heads per plant. Excellent for drying and will retain its color for years. Great for hot, dry areas.
Start plants in early spring as soon as soil can be worked, or indoors about eight weeks before transplanting. Lightly cover seeds with fine soil and keep evenly moist until they germinate. Transplant in spring when weather has settled. Plants begin to bloom in their second season. For dried flowers, cut stems when flowers are fully open. Hang to dry in the shade.
