Brassica, Turnip 'Shogoin' Heirloom
- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun
Description
Shogoin turnips are small and sweet, with tender and delicious greens. Harvest while roots are small and enjoy both the greens and the roots in soups, sautés, and stir-fries.
Plant in full sun in early spring or fall in rich, well-drained soil with plenty of water. Turnips produce best flavor when they mature quickly in cool weather. Harvest when roots are 1-2″ in diameter.
