Description
Butterflies will flock to tithonia’s bright orange blossoms. This tall, bushy plant is very drought and heat resistant and can grow into a thick hedge in a single season. Very easy to grow. It won an All America Selections award in 1951.
Sow in a location with full sun and average, well-drained soil in spring after all danger of frost has passed. Keep young plants evenly moist and well weeded until established. Plants can withstand considerable drought once established, but might not grow to full height.
