Cucurbita, Pumpkin 'Atlantic Giant'

- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun, Part-Sun
Description
A first prize contest winner all over the U.S., Atlantic Giant can grow to 800 lbs! Sets two to four fruits per 15′ vine. Remove all but one to get the largest pumpkin per vine.
Atlantic Giant needs a long warm season to reach full size. Plant in full sun or partial shade in rich soil. Start outdoors about two weeks after last spring frost, or indoors two weeks prior to last frost date. Feed monthly with side dressings of compost or vegetable fertilizer. For best shaped pumpkins, set fruit upright while still young. Harvest when rinds are hard and bright orange. Leave a 3-4″ stem.
