Description
Okra’s slender, pointed pods are used in soups, stews and for pickling. Grows best in areas with hot summer weather. Plants are attractive, very productive, and can reach 4-6′ in height. It won an All America Selections award in 1939.
Plant outdoors in late spring after soil has completely warmed. Select a location with plenty of sun. Pick Okra every two to three days when pods reach about two to four inches long. Older pods get tough and stringy.
