Minnesota's Destination Garden Center

Gertens is one of North America’s largest garden centers and home to Minnesota’s largest selection of annuals, perennials, natives, houseplants, trees, shrubs, and evergreens.  We’ve been “Growing in the Grove” in Inver Grove Heights since 1921 and our campus now covers over 100 acres of shopping and growing facilities. Gertens is still a family-owned business with a focus on giving customers the ability to buy high-quality plants and trees directly from a local grower.  After all, IT'S ONLY NATURAL TO BUY FROM THE GROWER.

Details

This rich outdoor living space was designed to include additional open-air rooms, generous gathering spaces, an active sports area, and a boundary that provides privacy and noise reduction. Both the cedar deck and the stone patio extend the living area of the home into the backyard. They provide additional rooms for entertaining, family gatherings, relaxing, watching playoffs in the lawn, or just viewing your handy work in the gardens below. The curvilinear planting beds define boundaries and are filled with multi-colored blooms and foliage, low maintenance selections, and plants of differing height that create a secluded retreat. This backyard is a wonderfully intimate and inviting space to spend an afternoon relaxing with friends and family.
