Cucumis, Cucumber 'Straight Eight' Value Pack

- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun
- Bloom Time
- Summer
Description
Delicious, crispy fruit throughout the summer. Straight Eight has been one of the most popular slicing cucumbers since it won the All-American Selections Gold Medal in 1935!
Start cucumbers after soil has warmed to 70°F in late spring. Plants prefer rich soil but will produce well in almost any garden with full sun. May be started indoors four to five weeks early for transplants. Cucumbers have shallow roots and need to be evenly watered for best results. Feed monthly with compost or vegetable food. Pick regularly to encourage more fruit to set. Vines may be trellised to keep fruits off the ground.
