Description
Brightly colored foliage in a variety of patterns makes coleus a favorite for semi-shaded areas and patio containers. This tropical native looks its best in a warm, humid location with indirect light.
Sow in rich soil and part shade in a well-drained location after all danger of frost has passed. May be started indoors about 10 weeks prior to transplanting. Seeds require light to germinate. Keep soil moist until plants are established. Coleus is a tender perennial usually grown as an annual outside its native Southeast Asia.
