Description
Verbena will thrive through heat and drought giving multitudes of intensely colored fragrant flowers. Perfect for hanging baskets and patio pots since they tend to dry out quickly.
Verbena is slow to germinate and needs complete darkness to sprout. Easiest to start indoors about ten weeks before transplanting. Cover seed tray and keep in a dark spot until seed has germinated. Water until plants are established. May be perennial in mild climates. Cut back plant to one half in winter, in mild areas.
