Beta, Swiss Chard 'Fordhook' Heirloom
- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun
Description
The classic Swiss chard, known for its high yields and deep flavor. Large, dark green leaves are packed with nutrients. Easy to grow; a vigorous producer in all climates.
Plant outdoors in early spring to summer, and again in fall for winter crops in mild climates. Prefers full sun and consistent watering. Can withstand a mild frost. Acidic soil will stunt growth. Snip off outer leaves at the base of the plant as they mature. New leaves will grow for a continuous supply throughout the season.
