- Bloom Time
- Early Summer
Description
Wee Willie is a dwarf annual version of the common Sweet William. Its compact form and free blooming habit makes it a perfect filler for instant color in the garden. Blooms in 6-8 weeks from seed. Very easy to grow.
For earliest bloom, start indoors six weeks before last spring frost. Sow outdoors in spring, or fall in mild climates for winter bloom. Prefers rich, loose, well-drained soil and full sun, or part shade in hot areas. Keep soil evenly moist, but not soggy, while plants are young. Once mature, Wee Willie requires little water except during dry periods. Roots will rot if exposed to too much moisture.
