Capture the beauty of your own garden in a lasting way! Join Winna from Petal Arts as she teaches the fundamentals of flower pounding, using plants, herbs and flowers to create a unique fabric wall hanging. A perfect way to preserve your garden to admire all year long!
Saturday, September 13th at 10am at the Gertens Retail Store.
Workshop includes all materials and tools. We suggest attendees bring their own garden flowers: newly picked and hydrated is best. If you don't have a garden; no worries, we will have some on hand.
Here are a few recommendations from Winna:
Flowers: Marigold, Moss Daisy, Geranium, Cosmo, Shasta daisy, Bee Balm, Dark colored Dahlia’s, Pansy, Hollyhock, Viola, Yellow cone flower, Sunflower Nasturtium, Coreopsis, Blue delphinium.
Herbs: Dill, Arugula, Cilantro, Leaf Parsley, Lavender.
Greens, stems and leaves: Daisy stem, Impatiens leaf, Geranium leaf, Eastern blue star leaf, Begonia leaf, Coleus leaf, Asparagus fern, Yarrow, Valerian.
