Cucurbita, Squash (Winter) Vegetable Spaghetti

- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun, Part-Sun
Description
A popular squash with thick yellow flesh that can be scooped out after cooking to produce spaghetti-like strands. Oblong fruits have smooth tan-to-orange rinds. Will store for three to six months.
Plant outdoors in full sun and rich soil two weeks after last spring frost. Germinates poorly in soil temperatures below 70°F. Water consistently and feed monthly with a side dressing of compost or vegetable fertilizer. For best harvest, allow fruits to ripen until vines begin to die back. Immature fruits do not store well.
