Details

Well-suited for a wide range of orchid species. This includes Phalaenopsis (most commonly found in any store), Cymbidiums, Dendrobiums, Catacetum, Oncidiums, Paphiopedilums (Lady Slipper), Masdevallia, Cycnoches, Epidendrum, etc. **Some Jewel Orchids or really young orchids would be better suited for the Houseplant Chunky Mix as the root systems are just so much more fine than a traditonal orchid species.

As orchids typically are not found in the ground, they obtain water and nutrients from the air, rain, and debris that collects in the crevices in which they grow.

Note: Please, please, please don’t follow the ice cubes watering strategy. Water them deeply every week or so depending on your situation, and it’ll keep the mix generally humid for the roots to be happy long term.

Organic: coconut husk chips, recycled forest products
Inorganic: chunky perlite
