Eruca, Arugula 'Common' Organic Heirloom Seed Tape 6.6 ft
- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun, Part-Sun
Description
Also known as rocket or roquette, arugula’s tasty young leaves add a delightful spicy flavor to fresh salads and pasta sauces. Very easy and quick to grow. Plants are cold tolerant and flavor is best when grown in cool weather.
Plant outdoors in early spring and fall, or winter in mild climates. Select a location with full sun, or partial shade in hot areas, with fertile, well-draining soil. Make a shallow trench about 1/4″ deep. Place seed tape in trench and cover firmly with soil. Keep soil evenly moist for best growth. Plant every two to three weeks for continuous harvest. Start harvesting when leaves are 2″-4″ long by snipping individual leaves or cutting the whole plant near ground level.
Eruca vesicaria subsp. sativa
