Daucus, Carrot Nantes 'Mercurio F1' Hybrid Seed Tape 6.6 ft
- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun
Description
This Nantes type carrot produces distinct blunt-ended roots that average 6-8” in length. A sweet, tender, typically coreless carrot with a rich bright orange color. Mercurio is the original Nantes hybrid carrot.
Sow outdoors in a sunny location 2-4 weeks before last spring frost. Prefers loose soil amended with plenty of organic matter. Make a shallow trench about ¼” deep. Place seed tape in trench, cover with soil, and pack gently. Keep soil evenly moist. For best flavor and texture, pull carrots when they have reached optimal 6-8” length. Will tolerate light frost.
