Raphanus, Radish 'Champion' Organic Heirloom
- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun
Description
Bright red round roots with crisp white flesh. A vigorous mid-season variety that develops quickly and is slow to become woody. Grow extra-early and late plantings for tasty radishes all season. It won an All America Selections award in 1957.
Plant every few weeks starting in early spring or fall/winter in mild climates. Water consistently. Time your plantings to mature while the weather is cool. Sow every two weeks from late spring through summer for continuous crops. Radishes mature rapidly. Harvest tender roots frequently, as soon as round shoulders begin to break through the soil.
