Petroselinum, Parsley 'Italian Flat Leaf'

- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun
Description
Easy to grow and noted for its robust flavor. Its wide, flat leaves resemble those of cilantro. High in iron and vitamins A, C, and E. This is the preferred parsley for cooking. Add to hot food just before serving to preserve flavor.
Plant in early spring, or start indoors six weeks before last spring frost. Transplant when 2-3″ tall. Parsley does best in a sunny area with rich, well-drained soil. Water consistently. Very slow germination can be improved by soaking seeds overnight and allowing to dry before planting. Cut individual stems as needed, or harvest entire plant by cutting 1″ from the base.
