Allium, Scallion Onion 'White Lisbon Bunching' Heirloom Value Pack
- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun
Description
With thin white stalks and pungent green leaves, scallions are easy to grow, take little space and have a multitude of uses in the kitchen. Plant among your summer greens, and harvest both for a tasty salad.
Onions prefer fertile soil with regular water for best growth. They are shallow rooted, so keep them well weeded to prevent competition. Sow in early spring as soon as soil can be worked. Plant successive crops every few weeks for a continuous supply. Use the greens from your trimmings just like chives for garnishes.
