Description
Empress of India is an old-fashioned Nasturtium with scarlet flowers and dark green leaves. An exciting accent to any garden or patio setting. Compact habit is perfect for borders, hanging baskets and containers. Blooms all summer.
Plant in full sun, or part shade in hot areas, in warm, well-drained soil after all danger of spring frost. Start indoors four to six weeks prior to last spring frost but note that delicate roots do not transplant well. Water consistently and do not fertilize. Nick the seed coat and soak in warm water 24 hours before planting to encourage germination.
