Description
An heirloom beauty with origins in Bavaria, Grandpa Ott Morning Glory features an abundance of small, deep purple flowers with red star-shaped throats. Sturdy, vigorous vines that are easy to grow.
Direct sow seeds in spring in moist, well-drained soil when soil has warmed to 64°F. Morning Glory grows best in a sunny location protected from wind. For earliest bloom, start indoors six weeks before last frost date. Tolerates poor soil and prefers drier conditions but be sure to water during dry periods. For best germination, soak seeds in water overnight before planting.
