Description
Tangerine Gem is a “signet” marigold, noted for its compact shape, delicate single flowers, and finely-cut, lemon scented foliage. In full bloom, the foliage virtually disappears under a canopy of bright orange. Perfect for garden borders.
Start outdoors after all danger of frost. In mild climates plants may be started in late summer for fall-winter bloom. Select a sunny location. For earlier blossoms, start indoors four to six weeks before transplanting. Keep young plants evenly moist until established. Remove faded flowers to encourage more blossoms. Fertilize sparingly.
