Description
Very easy to grow, with dense, tasty leaves packed with nutrients. Cold hardy and resilient, leaves are sweetest after they’ve been touched by a light frost.
Kale prefers rich, well-drained soil and plenty of water. Grows best in cool weather. In spring, start indoors six weeks before last frost and transplant two weeks before last frost. In fall, direct sow 2″ apart and thin to final spacing two months before first frost. Best quality leaves are harvested after a frost. Pull leaves from the bottom of the plant Plants may winter-over even with sub-zero temperatures.
