Our micro clover grass seed mix is a win-win situation for people, nature, and bees. Micro Clover has a much smaller leaf size than regular clover and grows as an eco-friendly companion to existing grass. It has nitrogen-fixing abilities to keep your lawn healthy, which reduces the need for chemical fertilizers and helps naturally keep your yard green all season. Micro clover has excellent cold, drought and traffic tolerance. It grows evenly alongside grasses and creates good and even ground cover for the entire year. It is the ideal choice for creating an alternative, natural fed lawn.
Seeding Micro Clover alone is not recommended.
Overseeding: 1 lb of Micro Clover will cover 1,000 sq ft and is best applied with a broadcast spreader. Set the spreader on the lowest setting and cover the lawn once. Repeat until desired amount of seed has been used.
Starting new lawn: It will perform best when used in conjunction with a turfgrass. Seed the lawn at the recommended rate on the packaging of the grass mix and then spread ½ lb to 1 lb per 1,000 sq ft of Micro Clover. This will give you a beautiful lawn with little to no fertilization requirement.
