Gertens Online Fundraisers

How does a Gertens online fundraiser work?

  • A fundraising account is required to participate in our programs. Call 651-239-1321 to get started.
  • Let the fundraising office know you want to participate in our online fundraiser.
  • You will need to provide the following information in addition to setting up an account:
    • Group logo or picture in JPEG format.
    • Fill out Online Website Set up form provided by the fundraising office.

Set your shipping date and delivery address.

  • Contact our office for available dates.
  • All deliveries are scheduled as AM (8-12) or PM (1-5). Will Call hours are from 8:00am - 4:30pm at Gertens shipping dock 9.
  • You will be contacted the afternoon/evening prior to your delivery with a closer time estimate.
  • All orders will be delivered as a bulk order to the address you provide.
  • We will build a customized website for your group.
  • You will take the URL for that website and send it via email, text, or other communication to your participants to place their orders.
  • We handle the order management and transactions, so you don’t have to!
  • Prices listed online are what your group’s fundraiser customers will pay.
  • Gertens will provide copies of all individual orders for your group with the delivery.
  • Your group will receive 30% of all plant sales and 15% of all plant card sales less the delivery fee.
  • Once the season is over Gertens will process a check for your group’s proceeds.

Tips for Success:

  • Stay in contact with your sellers. Email and text reminders including the link each time.
  • Face to face contact is still important!
    • Help relatives place their orders online.
    • Remind customers to “list me as the seller” to get credit for your sale.
    • Complete the sale – check in with your regular customers to make sure their order is placed.
  • Send a reminder email or notification near the end of your time window for placing orders.
  • We can give you updates on sales if you want to include that information in your announcements.
  • Shopper’s name, phone number, and address are required at checkout to help you with distribution
  • Gertens will provide you with individual order sheets at delivery.

Has room to designate the name of an individual the shopper is supporting. You can choose to make this a required field.
