Beta, Beet Mix 'Gourmet Blend' Organic
- Sun Preference
- Full-Sun
Description
Perfect mixture of Detroit Dark Red (50 percent) and Golden Detroit (50 percent) beets for canning, roasting, or fresh in salads. Tasty tops can be cooked or eaten raw in salads. Easy to grow.
Start beets outdoors in loose, well-drained soil in early spring as soon as soil can be worked, or up to six weeks before fall frost. Beets prefer a cool climate and can tolerate mild frost. Plant seed every few weeks for continuous harvest. Roots can be harvested when they reach 2 inches for tender baby beets and greens, or continue growing until the roots reach no more than 4 inches.
