Description
Broad Windsor fava bean is an English variety that dates back to 1863. Shell is broad, flat beans for a delicious early summer treat.
Direct sow for best results. Plant in rich, well-drained soil in very early spring about a month prior to last frost date, or as a winter crop in mild climates. Will tolerate light frost. Thinning usually not necessary. Pods are prolific and heavy. Support plants with stakes.
