Description
Rosie O’Day’s rose-pink blossoms have a sweet fragrance and appear in only six weeks after planting. This is a popular and very easy to grow annual, perfect for borders, between patio stones, and in hanging baskets. It won an All America Selections award in 1961.
Plant outdoors in early spring in a location with full sun to part shade and average, well-drained soil. Start indoors three to four weeks earlier for transplants. Keep soil evenly moist while plants are young. In mild climates, sow in fall for winter bloom. Cut plant back by one half when initial blossoms fade to encourage another set of flowers.
