The Henry Sibley Band and Boosters appreciate your support! We rely on fundraising to help us maintain our excellent music program at Henry Sibley High School in ISD 197, West St Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan. Approximately 11% of your Plant Card purchase will go directly back to our band program. You may designate these proceeds to go directly into a student's individual band account (indicate the student's name in the Group Member's Name box). If "NONE" is specified in the box the proceeds will go into the Band General Account where it will be used for scholarships and general expenses.

Plant Cards can be used to purchase plants - annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, etc. - any time of year at Gertens  (5500 Blaine Ave, Inver Grove Heights).  The Plant Cards do not have an expiration date and do not lose value over time. Plant cards will be mailed directly to the shipping address.

This money helps our various programs to provide & maintain equipment, transportation, instruments, uniforms, etc.  Students in the band raise over $50,000 every year in support of the following programs:

The Marching Band is an extracurricular program that competes in parade street shows during June / July every year.  The season culminates in a “long trip” where over the years they have performed in places like, Washington DC, St. Louis, and Disney World.

The Drumline is extracurricular and is part of the Minnesota Percussion Association. The line meets from November to April and competes between February and April every year. The Sibley Drumline has a long history of excellence and in 2012 took 1st Place at State Finals in Regional Class A.

Color Guard and Winter Guard compete in competitions individually and in conjunction with the marching band.

Jazz Band is an extracurricular band that performs in several concerts every year as well as in the state jazz band competition in the spring. The Jazz Band also attends a Jazz Festival in the Midwest most every spring.

All band students participate in the regular band curriculum at Henry Sibley High School in either Wind Ensemble or Symphonic Band. These bands perform several concerts every year as well as competing in state solo/ensemble competitions.  Students also have the opportunity to perform in Solo/ Small Ensemble contest along with other chamber performances throughout the community. In 2012, Sibley Band students performed for the community at the Southview Retirement Center and the Fischerville Coffee House. The Henry Sibley Bands  also enhance the school community at Henry Sibley through pep band, homecoming parade and performances, musical pit orchestra, and general assemblies.
