Pruning Season for Common Plants

Share |
Do you often ask yourself this question: When should I prune my plants? At Gertens, we have the answer! Read on:

(Please note: Asterisks indicate species that should be pruned within the month AFTER flowering, with the exception of removing dead wood. And remember, if you have any questions about when to prune your trees and shrubs please call 651-450-1501 and ask for our Nursery Department.)

Gertens has the right tools for the job.  By-pass pruners are the best choice since they will not crush the wood during cutting. Medium branches, those under 2.5" in diameter require a good set of loppers
