Edgers—Creating Lines, Defining Spaces

Techture Stone edgers, available through Gertens, are a great product for an easy weekend project to spruce up your garden or landscape. With its weathered appearance, it blends nicely with gardens. Installation is easy! Just dig a trench a little wider than the edger and about 1 inch deeper. Pack down the soil in the trench and add about 1 inch of sand to assist with leveling. Put in the edgers so they align end-to-end and are at grade (which means you can put your mower wheel right on the edger). If you would like more of the edger to show, adjust the depth of the trench accordingly.

Other edging options? Use any of our Anchor Pavers, Princeton, Kingston, or Charleston. These come in various shapes and sizes to create unique and distinctive straight or curved beds.
