An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

"An apple a day" -- that's appealing advice! There's nothing like a crisp and juicy apple for good eating. In fact, apples are a symbol of goodness, from the story of Johnny Appleseed to Mom's Apple Pie, they are aptly nicknamed "The King of Fruits.”

Fall is a time for harvesting, roasting marshmallows by a large bonfire, going on a hayride with the family, as well as marveling in the majestic colors of autumn. Here in the Midwest, it is also a time for visiting the local apple orchard to pick apples, sip hot cider, or possibly all of the activities listed above.
