Gertens Design Department - In-House Design

The in-house design service allows the designers to create a plan based on information collected by the homeowner. This service is great for new homes, renovation projects and any size planting bed.

The cost of this service is $65 per hour.

The first step in this service is to stop by the design office and pick up the landscape kit. This kit consists of a grid sheet which includes instructions for the client to successfully plot their lot and home. This is set to the scale of 1”=8’ and can be simplified by using a certificate of survey. Along with the completed kit, the designer will also need pictures of the site. Two or three different views will help the designer get a good representation of the area.

Once the kit is completed, the homeowner must make an appointment for an initial drop-off. At this time the designer and clients will meet to discuss the goals, hopes, wants, & needs of the project. A deposit of half the projected cost will be due at this time.

After the plan is finished, the designer will call to schedule a time to present the design at our office. The designer will explain the plan and show pictures of the plants included. Final payment is collected at this time, and the plan is released to the client.
